Virgin Wines

Background

Internet wine seller, Virgin Wines was established in 2000 to provide customers with exciting new wines made by small producers. In November 2006, Virgin Wines appointed OMG as its third affiliate network. Because OMG does not charge set-up or management fees, there was no risk to Virgin Wines in launching a programme on the network.

Quality Account Management

OMG understands the importance of a pro-active, people-focused approach in building long lasting, strong relationships and in delivering results. OMG was the first network to introduce affiliate account mangers and the company has more people dedicated to advertisers and affiliates than any other established network.

By working closely with Virgin Wines and affiliates, OMG ensured the smooth running of the campaign, enabling Virgin Wines to take full advantage of sales over the Christmas period.

Results

Within the first three weeks of the launch, OMG smashed its sales targets. This was achieved through strong account management coupled with OMG working creatively with leading affiliates to promote Virgin Wines to their user base.

In total, OMG’s programme delivered eight times the combined volume of business from Virgin Wine’s other networks over the Christmas 2006 period.
